How to Install GeoAttend on Android
Follow these simple steps to install the official APK directly onto your Android device in less than a minute.
Download the APK
Tap the "Download APK" button or scan the QR code with your Android camera. Your phone will begin downloading geoattend-v2.1.0.apk.
Allow Unknown Sources
When downloading or opening the file, your browser (Chrome, Samsung Internet, etc.) may show a prompt: "File might be harmful" or "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps". Tap "Settings" or "Details", and toggle "Allow from this source".
Install & Launch
Open the downloaded file from your browser notification bar or your phone's "Downloads" folder, tap "Install", and wait for installation to complete. Then tap "Open".
Grant Location & Sign In
When prompted for location permission, select "While using the app". This allows GeoAttend to verify your geofence boundary during punch-in. Sign in with your company credentials or student ID.
Why does Android prompt "Allow install from unknown sources"?
Android classifies any file downloaded from a web browser as an “unknown source”. This is Android's standard default behavior. GeoAttend v2.1.0 is compiled directly by the OPTISWARE development team, digitally signed, and hosted safely on our GitHub repository.
